Before salvation, the laws were written on my heart. But in ignorance and foolishness, was my downfall. Because i never knew God, i never considered my actions in my thinking. And if i did consider them, i never cared because this world owed me. I found grace, love, peace, and joy. I came to know God and his righteous decrees. I am now a slave too righteousness, wanting to receive God's approval by my obedience. But sin, in it's deceitfulness, rears it's head in my every step, trying to take me down and away from God. How wretched i am! Therefore, as did paul, i also seek one who can save me from this body of sin, Jesus Christ. How can man ever be justified in his actions? He never can! Therefore, i rely on one who is without blemish, one who is perfect and who knew man's downfall, Jesus Christ. How i long too find perfection in this body. It is impossible in my own will. I must keep my sight fixed on the cross and i must understand it. I must learn it and hold it close to my heart. I must bear my cross as Jesus Christ did, because i know the gift that awaits me. I know the peace, joy, and love that abounds in God. There is no other greater love or greater peace or greater joy, then that which God gives.
